Learn more about the future of electric driving in HGS

Come to our discussion meeting Should your next car be electric? at 8pm on April 18.

This is an opportunity to get much more information on the economics of electric cars, expert tips on charging in HGS, and to hear how the electric vehicle market is changing.

This will be a realistic discussion. Electric cars aren't yet suitable for everyone and it's not our aim to persuade people to buy a car that's not right for their needs.

However, they are cheaper than ever before, and quality used electric cars (with good battery life) are now widely available.

Our experts are:

Jonathan Shine: HGS resident and electric vehicle entrepreneur whose businesses include renting electric cars and consulting on electric mobility.

Freda Lewis-Stempel: motoring reporter for the MailOnline and a member of the Women Drive Electric UK group.

Gren Manuel: HGS REACH committee member and EV enthusiast.

Robert Poole: EV Infrastructure Service Manager, Barnet Council.

They will discuss the results of the survey HGS REACH conducted a few months ago about the barriers that stop local residents buying electric cars — and how they can be overcome.

The discussion and subsequent audience Q&A will be moderated by HGS REACH's Sarah Stafford.

This event is for RA members (plus one guest from their household) only.  RA membership will be available at the door at £15 and brings a wide range of other benefits.

When: Thursday, April 18, 8pm

Where: Quaker Meeting House, 17 Central Square (near the junction with Northway)
